It’s better participating in the walk as a coven. This year, the supreme witches suggest you walk in small groups. We will call these small groups your coven. Your coven will choose the path to the final destination.
Each coven should have a head witch. This head witch will lead your coven on the magical journey. We ask head witches to:
- gather your coven near the Rev’d Barclay monument in Skeleton Park.
- listen to announcements from the supreme witches.
- share announcements with their coven.
- reminds the coven to stick to pedestrian paths and rules of the road – like using sidewalks, mindful of crosswalks (this is not a parade using the streets of Kingston).
- have ample space between your coven and other covens. Try to avoid bottlenecking. It’s not a race, it’s a walk.
- lead your coven on your chosen path to Confederation Park for 8PM. This path could include stopping at a local haunt for photos, having a quick witches’ brew coffee stop, buying that last minute flying broom, or arriving early to watch all the other witches.
If you are a solo-practitioner – think about joining a coven. Arrive early to find other solo-practitioners to join in and start your own coven.
